Earth Day 2009
May 11, 2009On April 22, under an overcast sky, a small but dedicated group of individuals participated in CLEAN’s second annual Earth Day walk. The grade three classes of Peacock Academy had planned to attend but did not come because of weather concerns. However several members of the community came to show their support for the environment. The walk, meant to encourage individuals to drive less and walk/bike more began at the Elizabeth Goudie building and ended at the North Star building where participants were offered refreshments.
